11/22/2023 0 Comments Top ten things to do in paros greece![]() So they had more fun on other beaches where they could surf and ride the waves. My only comment and it has nothing to do with the beach club itself, is that it wasn't so much fun for my kids because it's a bay. The toilets were impeccably clean and modern. I wish that the sound system was fairly distributed around the beach because we were sitting at the far end of the beach closer to the entrance and the music was a bit faint there. They also played a mix of Arabic music which was nice to hear since its unusual to be played on an island in Greece :). The DJ was superb the mix of songs he/she played was amazing. I had wagyu gyros and my husband and kids had the burger and it was delicious. The bar and restaurant have a great vibe and theres ample delicious food options to choose from. The umbrellas, sunbeds and their cushioning are of the best quality, the towels are also not the standard ones you received at beach clubs, they're stylish and of high quality. Other than that it was a great experienceīest beach in terms of facilities. So we decided to have lunch at the restaurant next door which had plenty of options. The beach bar menu was very limited, there were just a couple of sandwiches and maybe some salads. Everybody in the hospitality industry knows that such things should be done after operating hours and not while guests are present and enjoying your facility.Ģ. We couldn't relax while they working in front of us and couldn't wait for them to finish and leave. There were workers putting together some Gazebos right in front of us, they had ladders and paint buckets and construction material spread out on the beach, they obstructed our view and it didn't look very professional and the areas was cluttered with their things, and they were all taking cigarette breaks together clustered in front of us. The only two constructive comments i have :ġ. ![]() Many people were dancing to the music in the beach bar area. Our kids had a blast jumping on the waves since its windy in that area, they spent hours in the sea. The music played by the DJ gave the beach a very happening vibe. If you are planning a trip, it’s worth checking out these entries too.īest vibes, we were a mix of 6 adults and 7 kids and we all had a good time. NOTE: You can look up a lot more reviews on Parikia under the Tripadvisor entries, ‘Port of Paros’ and ‘Paroikía Páros’. Overall, Parikia was a great choice to base ourselves for 4 nights in Paros. What’s left of the temple is incorporated into the pretty Church of Constantine but it’s the panoramic views from here which is the most impressive part. The other main sights are the Frankish Castle and the remains of the 6th century Temple Of Athena at the top of the old town. ![]() One of the town’s ‘must-see’ spots is the intriguingly named, Church of 100 Doors (or Panagia Ekatontapyliani), a wonderful 4th century church complex which is all domes, doors, windows and arches. It has a charming old town, lots of restaurants and an attractive port, with colourful fishing boats and a long promenade that stretches right around to Livadia Beach.Įven if you have a very tight itinerary, it’s worth spending some time wandering through the town’s maze of narrow lanes, past whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches, small boutiques and brilliant pink bougainvillea. ![]() It also feels less crowded and not as commercialised. I loved Parikia - it has as much, maybe more, to offer as the very popular Nouassa. The first thing we saw as we left the port was an old, preserved windmill in the middle of the road. If you arrive by ferry, this is where you will first set foot on land. Parikia is the capital of Paros and the island’s main port. ![]()
